Born and raised in Strongsville, Ohio, I am the third of four children of Steve and Peg Gall, who still reside in Strongsville.
My strong work ethic began in high school, working various jobs in the summers and throughout the school year and I was still Lettering in football and track. After graduating from Strongsville High School in 1982, I continued to work while attending Cleveland State University where I earned a B.B.A. in Management\Labor Relations in 1987.
During law school at Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, I began an internship with the City of Brunswick Law Department as a Law Clerk. This enabled me to begin trying cases while still in school. Upon passing the bar in 1991, I served as an Assistant Prosecutor for Brunswick and also the City of Strongsville during which time I established a private law practice. As a private attorney, I handled a variety of cases including personal injury, domestic relations/family law and general defense work.
In 1999, I was hired as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney for Cuyahoga County. I worked my way up the ranks and I am currently assigned to the Major Trial Unit, which is an elite group of trial attorneys who prosecute the most heinous crimes, most often homicide, including death penalty cases, and sexual assaults. I have handled over 180 of these cases while in this unit. I have argued cases before the 8th District Court of Appeals and the Ohio Supreme Court. I am the Chairman of the Parma Police Civilian Review Board.
I have worked hard during my career to achieve and maintain a high level of personal and professional integrity.
I have the blessing of being married to my wife, Debbie, for over 11 years. We currently reside in Parma where we have raised her two daughters, Nikki and Danielle. Debbie and I serve the community by volunteering at Achievement Centers for Children, Camp Cheerful, in Strongsville.
